Ever since I was a little girl, I pursued in many different sports, to stay both active and find what I wanted to continue and hopefully become successful in a larger aspect. As of that, I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when I was seven, following my father’s footsteps, hoping to become a world champion just like him. Because of this motivation, I always stayed dedicated to working my hardest and never giving up, as I was taught that’s how I can achieve my goals. As Jiu-Jitsu was my primary sport, I tried wrestling in order to better my Jiu-Jitsu. However, ever since I started wrestling my freshman year in high school, I realized that I wanted to continue to grow and be the best that I can be. Wrestling in high school has opened up many opportunities for me and allowed me to better myself in being someone that both my team and my school can look up to. Moreover, I have overcome many obstacles, especially in my junior year, as I maintained a 4.0, along with wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. I am always willing to learn and to put in the hard work in order to receive the best results to become a better me. A saying that I always go by is that our greatest glory consists of not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. My experience with wrestling not only changed my outlook on life but as a person. As I want to major in business to create a change in the world, I also want to continue with wrestling to show others in the community and myself that anything is possible when you put in the work and never give up. My aspiration is to attend a college that will not only fulfill my needs, but will seek what is best for me to progress and achieve my goals.
