Nikhil Altamirano...Personal Statement
My name is Nikhil Altamirano, and I am a 16-year-old student-athlete committed to excelling both academically and athletically at the college level. I have dedicated six years to playing soccer at the club level and three years at the Varsity level in high school. Throughout this time, I have focused on refining my skills both on and off the ball, constantly pushing myself to improve while also supporting my teammates’ growth.
This same mindset extends to my academics. I am deeply motivated to challenge myself and continuously improve, which has allowed me to maintain a high academic standing. I believe that true success comes from a balance of both personal growth and teamwork—whether on the field or in the classroom.
I am looking for a college that offers a strong sense of community, where students and coaches are committed to fostering both individual development and team success. A program that prioritizes the development of young athletes on and off the field, while also emphasizing academic excellence, would be the perfect environment for me to continue pursuing my dual passions for soccer and education.
