Personal Statement

Hi Coaches ,

My name is Ian Colaruotolo and am currently a Sophomore at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School located in Rolling Hills Estates, California. I have been a member of the school soccer team for two years and am currently on the JV team.  My positions are both Midfield and Forward/Striker.  Being a part of the high school team has allowed me the experience to work with a variety of coaches and team members with skill sets that enabled me to improve my level of ability.  There have been many memorable highlights so far including a game during our freshman season. While playing Striker, I scored the winning goal against Redondo Union High School.   While playing in Midfield, I was consistent in making a pass that would assist my teammates in scoring.  After our season ends  I transition back to playing Fram club.  Being on the Fram team has given me the opportunity to be part of a team that consists of players from the different high schools in the Southbay.  Not only do we play in season games, we compete in tournaments, both local and distant.  At the end of Club season, I work one on one with a TOCA trainer to improve footwork and technique, passes and  touches.   My goals is to continue to play high school and Club soccer for the remaining time I am in high school .

When I'm not playing or training in soccer , I like to skateboard , go to the beach , hang out with friends and travel with my family.  Academics are important to me and I work hard to maintain my grades. I think its important to be able to balance both academics and athletics.

It is my drive and determination to play men's soccer at the next level and I know I can be a great player for any college coach who is looking for someone like me .  I am interested in playing in any region, conference, or any of the three divisions . I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals.

Thank you for your consideration

Ian Colaruotolo

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
