Andrew Carr-Wallace '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a 16-year-old student athlete doing a junior year abroad at a soccer academy in Barcelona, Spain. I aspire to be a college and potentially professional soccer player when I am older. I always want to strive to be better as a player because I love playing this sport. I would be a great candidate for your team because I always give my all in everything I do and I hate giving up, definitely with activities that I love. I have played for three different clubs during my soccer years. In high school, I played on the freshman team at Junipero Serra High School, and then the JV team sophomore year and made the varsity team at the end of my sophomore year. I also ran cross-country and track and achieved a 3.4 GPA. At the same time, I played with the Vikings club team in San Francisco on their travel team which was gold level. At the end of sophomore year I made the San Francisco Elite club team which is the highest level of play available in San Francisco, however, over the summer I attended a soccer camp in Barcelona, Spain, where I was scouted for the full year club program which is based in Barcelona where I am currently playing. This club is called Kaptiva which is in Segunda division in Catalan soccer. It is my first year playing for this team and they are making me an all-around better soccer player by having me train seven times a week, with video analysis once a week, and full 90 minute games on the weekends. This is helping my comfortability, skills on the ball against more competitive teams, and my vision of the field. I currently play striker or left wing for this club which are my preferred positions. I strive to be a good example of gamesmanship as well as sportsmanship.
