Every summer before high school starts back up I think about two things, school and soccer. I am usually super stressed about school and really excited for soccer. When the summer days come to a close, I begin to think about my classes. Which of them will I enjoy, which teachers are teaching the class, and will I regret taking a class, but I never have second thoughts about soccer. Soccer keeps my life going. It balances out the stress that is presented in the real world with the stress that I gather during school.
Over the past 4 seasons of high school soccer, I have been named to the 1st Team All-State, 2nd Team All-State, Academic 1st Team All-State, All League, and captain. Out of every achievement on that list, I'm most proud of being named captain of the 2019 varsity team. This was especially a new role for me because I’m not usually the social kid or the person that people look up to. However, when I was picked, I realized the team looked up to me and needed me to step into that role. That year we went 14-0-1, were number one ranked in 3A, and breached the semifinals.
