Soccer has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Whether it was playing with friends in the backyard, or playing kick and run at age 5 and 6, I always got an extreme sense of happiness when kicking the soccer ball and playing the game. That sense of happiness has followed me as I have grown up and has increased into something that became a part of my everyday life.
I have been able to visit a few colleges over the past several years. Based on those experiences, I am looking for a small to mid-sized college student body. I am also looking for an academically challenging school that also gives me the chance to play at the highest level of soccer possible. I have a number of possible areas of study that I’d find interesting, so a college with a broad, strong liberal arts program seems like it could be a good fit. Some of the areas I might study include history and chemistry. I may be interested in pursuing a career in law, so schools with a pre-law track might also be of interest.
I have played on Beachside Soccer Club’s Premier team for the past four years, and am currently the starting striker for Beachside’s U18 High School Premier team. I also rotate onto the wing. Playing Premier allows me the opportunity to also play for my high school varsity soccer team. I have been the starting striker / winger for my high school’s varsity soccer team. Over the past two seasons, I have scored 60 goals. As a sophomore, I was recognized and chosen for the WNEPSSA All-Star game, scoring 4 goals. I was also fortunate to be named to the CTSA All-State team for the 2019 season.
I am a member of the class of 2022 currently attending Wooster School in Danbury CT. Unlike most schools, Wooster grades on a 6.0 point scale. Earning a 6.0 is equivalent to a grade of 98-100% in an academic course. My GPA at the conclusion of my sophomore year is 5.72, which equates to a 4.0 unweighted. Over the first two years of high school at Wooster, I have taken 8 honors courses. I do my very best to challenge myself in the classroom taking the most advanced classes that are available to me. I think that being able to challenge your mind and your body is very important for the growth of one’s self and character. By allowing yourself to be challenged it allows you to overcome hardships, and to amount to things you would have never dreamed possible.
