Dear Coaches,
My name is Nico Cuevas and I have been playing soccer since a very young age. I have trained with a number of teams in Connecticut such as CFC, Shoreline, and Everton. This last club I am still a member of the NPL team for my age group which is 2002. I have also trained internationally with River Plate and with Barcelona S.C. of Ecuador.
I am a hard worker in and am passionate about soccer. I dedicate much of my free time to look at different manners in which I can improve my game such as looking at videos of successful players and trying my best to practice the moves I have learned in my own training time.
I have also learned different positions of play during my soccer experience such as play as RWB and Midfielder as well as RW and in occasion striker. I will play the position that the coach feels that I am better able to contribute to the team. I keep my composure during play time and try at all cost to avoid any cards during a game. I take advise well and understand that I have still significant improvement to continue making in order to be a great soccer player. I also consider myself a good teammate and participate in activities outside of soccer with some of my teammates, such as playing video games, exercising, fishing or going to watch other competitive sport events.
I would like to attend a school that is very good academically and that also has a very challenging soccer program as I am not afraid of competition to earn my spot on the team, and understand that I can only get better playing with other players that may be better than I am now.
Regards,
-Nicholas Cuevas ("Nico")
