Joel Dube '21 Recruiting Profile

As a player, I aspire to play at the top college level and beyond. I am a relentless player with a never quit attitude. As a high level club player I was captain, Players Player, Coaches Player, and male Club Player of the Year. Now,  as a current U.S soccer Development Academy player (now MLS Next), I help lead the team and keep the team focused. I am a coachable team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to help my coach and my team. It is important to me to be an example on and off the field. Last two seasons my Development Academy coaches named me the Teammate of the Year for the U-17 and now U-19 teams.  I currently am a captain on the U19 MLS Next/DA Academy team.  Our team has finished first in the Northeast Division for the past 2 seasons, has been chosen as a top 32 DA team in the nation, and chosen to compete on the stadium field televised by U.S. Soccer. Another trait that helps me stand out from others is my work ethic and my willingness to put my body on the line for a tackle, goal line clearance, or stop.  I work extremely hard at soccer because I love the game.  I am constantly playing with calculated aggressiveness and a self-sacrificing attitude.  When I make a tackle on a player, that player is reluctant to come back down my side. I work hard to succeed on and off the field and currently have a 4.0 GPA as a full time HS dual enrolled college student.  I am a player that plays with skill, passion, and with intelligence.  I will always represent my school, my team, my family, and myself with dignity and respect, and I pride myself on being one who leads with integrity and character.
