My athletic goals in college are to push myself to be the best person I can be, and to break soccer records at the university or college I attend. Academically, I want to finish high school with at least a 3.8 GPA in 2023. I’m interested in studying leadership, political science, or history. I enjoy motivational speaking and activism.
What I think makes me different from other soccer players is that I have a great attitude on and off the field. Most importantly, school comes first in my life, and I think as a student-athlete I perform very well in the classroom. I maintained a 3.78 GPA while playing sports. I like science and math and other subjects, and teachers say I’m always participating. They also say I’m someone they can count on in the classroom to work hard and support and encourage my classmates.
Two things that stand out about me are kindness and leadership. I try not to put others down but motivate them to get better. I was a great leader on my FC Brandywine Club Team, and that led to us winning three championships back to back in our division. Something pretty unique about me as a soccer player is that I’m FAST. Most coaches compliment it, and during games utilize my speed. I’ve also been told that I have great footwork and am good on and off the ball.
I’m excited about growing as a player over the next three years. I plan to use this time of social distancing and virtual learning to get better, become faster and more technique driven. But overall, I believe the above things stand out about me as a young high school player.
