Nathaniel Barat '21 Recruiting Profile

I have to say that soccer has shaped me into the person I am today.  I grew up around soccer, my dad introduced me to the beautiful game from a very young age and I've been hooked ever since.  I've been playing as long as I can remember, and I've loved every second of it.  I live for every play, every save, every moment I get on that field.

Being a student first is the most important aspect of playing at the collegiate level and I am prepared for it.  I have a GPA of 3.0 in all honors courses.  My dad is a former D1 college walk on and professional player and has been my coach my whole career.  I'm an extremely competitive player, and I thrive under a coach who has the same determination to work and win as I do.  I live for every play, every save, every second I get to spend on that field and my fearlessness and dominance of the box show it.  I don't believe in half measures, I put my body on the line every corner, 1v1 and shot.  I am nothing without my teammates and I value being a team player.  I push my teammates to work hard and to always keep their heads up. 

I dream of competing at the very highest level possible and proving those who doubt me wrong, and I fully intend to fulfill that  dream.  I know that I'm not at that level, not yet.  I want to play for a coach who will push me and challenge me to be the best so that I can fulfill my dream.  I will work harder than everyone in the way of my dream, I just need the chance to prove my worth.
