Ryan Gourzong Jr '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Ryan.  I was born in New York of Jamaican parents but lived in Dubai from I was 2 years old.  I've been playing soccer since 4 years old when I joined MEYSO soccer academy in Dubai.  I later moved on to Go-Pro Football Club.  I was then selected to represent Dubai in DASSA in the summer of 2018.  We went on a tour in the UK where I played against high-level clubs such as Liverpool Academy and the Everton Academy.  I moved here to Florida in 2018 and joined Idea Sports Soccer Academy where I am currently enrolled.  I'm a Junior at Celebration High School and have been on varsity for all my years at the school. I recently got called up for the u17 Jamaica national team.

I am able to play most positions on the field but my preference is forward/striker, central attacking midfield and both wings.  I have the vision to read the game well and execute my passes precisely.  I've also developed my shooting technique with both feet hence making me an asset to my team.  I play to my strengths but I always seek to improve my weaknesses.  

I'm a hard worker and I push myself to get better each day to reach the next level which is college soccer.  My ambition is to one day play soccer professionally and study in the field of Physiotherapy.
