Sebastian Ortega '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches. The biggest dream that I have had, since I started playing soccer at 3 years old, is to play soccer at the highest level that I can. I want to play to the best of my abilities because I know it will challenge me to grow both personally and athletically. I have always had a competitive spirit throughout my life and want to take that competitive spirit and bring it to your college. I am always trying to challenge myself and perform better each and every day on and off the pitch. What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I will never give up and will do whatever it takes to reach my goals. Although, I have been gifted in both academics and athletics, I make it a priority to exceed at anything in life. I have been on the Master's Academy Varsity team since seventh grade and get lots of time on the field and I also play for GPS Orlando 02 (ranked as high as top 10 in the state).  One of the best memories I've had was scoring the winning penalty kick to take my team to the district finals in seventh grade. This experience is one of my favorites so far in my soccer career. I have quick feet and a great soccer IQ; which helps me create plays and blow past defenders so that they do not have a chance in intercepting a pass or taking the ball away. I am always trying to improve on the mental side of the game in aspects such as Positioning, Communicating, and Leadership. Also, I truly believe that soccer must be played as a team and not individuals on the field. It is very important to work as a team and lift your teammates up because if you do not you will not grow with them. I believe that I will bring passion, commitment and dedication to your school and will be a great contribution to your soccer program. Look forward to hearing from you.
