I haven't always loved the game of soccer. I used to feel like I was a terrible player, because I wasn't as skilled on the ball as much of my other classic one and ENCL teammates were. Some of them even made fun of me for it, saying I was only good at running and bodying people off the ball, and for a year or two I thought they were right so I quit soccer and tried my luck at basketball, baseball, and football but I just didn't feel the same way about those sports as I did soccer. So I went back to soccer, but instead of doing the same thing I did years prior I began putting in work to improve my footwork and soccer IQ and I got better and better, to the point where my teammates were scared to go against me in practice.
This period of time where I floated aimlessly through different sports helped me discover my love for the game of soccer, and helped me see the type of person I am. I'm the type of person who strives to be the best on the team and make sure that we have a winning season, I'm the type of person who includes the whole team in an activity making sure no one is left out, I'm the type of person who can be a leader on a winning team. I'm the type of person who lives to play soccer.
