SOWEGANS SC - GULF COAST PREMIER LEAGUE; UNITED FUTBOL ACADEMY - GEORGIA PREMIER LEAGUE
My coaches would describe me as someone who hustles, communicates well, and is a good teammate both on and off the field. Last year as a junior, I was voted Team Captain on my high school team, and am looking forward to another great season leading the team my senior year. I have played club soccer for 13 years, and last summer accepted a roster spot with Sowegans SC, an adult amateur team playing in the Gulf Coast Premier League. I intend to join the team as a returning player this spring/summer. This past fall, my U18 club team (United Futbol Academy- South Georgia) played in the Georgia Premier League, which is the highest level of the Georgia Soccer Association, and we ended a great season by winning the Adidas Norcross Cup in ATL. I take set pieces for my teams because they are major goal scoring opportunities. I’m driven to succeed, and stay focused in school academically as well as on the soccer field. With a 3.9+ unweighted GPA taking all Honors and AP classes, I hope to be able to play at a school where I can get a great education in addition to fulfilling my goal of playing collegiate soccer. Maintaining good relationships and collaborating with my teammates and coaches are important to me as well. In my free time, I train and play pickup games with local college players, and work tirelessly doing athletic training before school in addition to regular weightlifting and conditioning during/after school. I have a solid understanding of the level of play and commitment it takes to play at the college level. My coaches also describe me as someone who works extra hard for what they want, and shows consistent commitment toward producing results on the field and in the classroom. I would be sure to bring this level of commitment to the college program in which I affiliate.
