Aloha(Hello), my name is Logan Zaa and I’ve been playing soccer since 3rd grade when my friend asked if I wanted to do a camp with him; once that camp was done, I couldn’t stop thinking about soccer and that mindset has stayed with me to this very day! Throughout my soccer career I have accomplished many things, from winning my first state title when I was a U10 player, to get an invite to try out for the Seattle Sounders U15 squad. I am very proud of what I’ve done and I put in countless hours into trying to become a great soccer player. Although I didn’t make the Seattle Sounders team, it made me very disappointed in myself. I put in determination and effort on and off the field and the following state cup, I scored 5 goals in 4 games including 1 in the finals where we won 3-1. I used that setback as motivation on and off the field and in the classroom. That’s why I feel I am an outstanding student-athlete with a GPA of 4.3.
Soccer is a big part of my identity; it brought out who I am. Soccer showed me that I am humble, confident, easygoing, and most importantly a great friend. I feel that my friendships in soccer are very important to me, without that, I wouldn’t have such great chemistry with my club teammates and state team teammates. I feel that if I got a chance to play for your school, I wouldn’t be a pain in any of the players currently there and I would fit right in. If you feel I am the right pick for your school, I’ll make my time there worthwhile and I will work as hard on the field and in the classroom. Mahalo(Thank you) for looking at my page.
