"In order to save a ball, you need to put in 300%; 100% physically, 100% mentally, and 100% spiritually." My coach told me this day after day until it became one of the key quotes in my life. I've been playing goalie for over six years, and despite the rough times, I've stuck with it. I enjoy the feeling of saving balls rather than scoring and often find joy in hearing the crowd expressing a large sigh after I deny the game-winning goal. I'm a determined, hardworking, and driven individual who is willing to put 300% into everything (not just soccer.) I have a 3.8 GPA and attend Punahou School on Oahu. I am interested in becoming an orthopedic surgeon, with studies in pre-med, biochem, and other STEM. Not only do I start on the Varsity soccer team; I'm also the main goalie for Honolulu Bulls soccer club 04. Regardless of my team, I am willing to put forth the work others don't and make sure I am always working 3x as hard as my teammate. Everything about soccer entrances me, and my willingness to learn from my mistakes is a part of who I am. As much as I pressure myself to perform well, only through pressure and struggle is the growth achieved.
