Soccer, since I was young boy starting off, has always been apart of my life. However, the more I grew up the bigger a role it played in my life off the field. It started becoming a therapeutic method, taking my mind off the many obstacles I'd have to overcome. The anger and sadness is let out in my play, which gives me a sort of boost compared to the other athletes I've played with and against. A new sense of passion was engraved in me, one exceeding one of just winning the game, but of one powered by everything in my life. My style of play with this passion is something I have yet to find in another opponent.
Another aspect of my play is my work ethic. Starting in March 2020, I took up weight lifting knowing that as one of the shortest people on the field most times, it would come in handy. After a diet change and a newfound dedication to my goal of becoming stronger, my starting point at 123 pounds escalated in a couple months to 145. I am currently knocking on the door of 150 pounds, and still not anywhere done until the desired goal of 160+ is met, despite the amount of time and dedication it may take. All my athletic abilities have skyrocketed since my new change of lifestyle. Despite around 25 pounds of muscle not sounding like a lot at first glance, my goal is to highlight my work ethic through a single, usually overlooked aspect of soccer, which will not cease anytime soon.
