Hello, future coaches. I am not the typical student athlete because of my 4.18 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a 34 on my ACT which demonstrates that I care equally about school and sports. Unfortunately, I suffered a severe injury, a torn ACL on my right knee, which prohibited me from playing soccer my sophomore year. Although this may be seen as a setback for most people, I took this as an opportunity. I used this as motivation to work hard in order to come back on the field and be able to play soccer my junior year. These 9 months without soccer have been the hardest 9 months of my life, but they have also made me who I am today. Eventually, I came back to be a starter on JV at Ignatius my junior year and it felt rewarding to know that all the hard work I had put in finally paid off. Soccer is an integral part of my family and I have grown a strong love and passion for this sport. I constantly challenge myself through several AP and honors courses, and I am looking towards college soccer as my next challenge. I am extremely determined towards finding the best college for me where both school and sports are equally valued. I am ready to join my future team and I am determined to be a team player who cares more about winning than my personal stats and awards. Every time I step onto the field I give my all for my team and am willing to sacrifice anything for the sport I love.
