Dear Coaches,
I have been swimming since I was 6 years old and I am looking forward to continue swimming in the collegiate level. Because of my father’s work situation, my swimming career started in Turkey, then Romania and now continue in the U.S. Living in different countries have made me a resilient athlete and a great teammate. I can easily adjust to new teams and bring a different perspective with my background.
In my freshman and sophomore years, my times didn’t improve much because I had an injury and also health issues that prevented me to attend swim practices in short course season and miss 2 long course seasons. My health and family issues (divorce of my parents) didn’t stop me from swimming. I am more committed to swimming than ever and my past times are achieved just by attending swim practices. In the past few months, I have started doing more dryland training. I also joined the track team of my school. I believe I will do great in the long course season.
As my coaches say, I have a lot of potential and I’m coachable. I hope you will give me a chance to be a part of your team!
