Hi Coach,
My name is Caden Walker, I am a 2025 center back at Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Illinois. I also play at Chicago Fire Youth SC (2007 Premier team) formerly known as Chicago Fire Juniors City. I have been playing competitive soccer since I was seven years old and have loved it ever since. I also previously played basketball for my school's freshman team last year.
I have always been a very coachable player, I like to lead and I am very calm on the ball. I am also very physically strong and use that to my advantage when I am defending. These are some of my best strengths as a player. While I am very passionate about sports, I know that in being a student athlete being a student comes first. Admittedly, I struggled a bit with my grades due to attention deficit disorder (ADD) and Covid-19 my freshman year, but I am working hard to improve my GPA.
I am a strong believer in Christ and Christianity and one aspect of His teachings is to give back to others and serve the community. It is a value stressed at home and in school, I have helped out at food banks, churches and participated in serving my local community through park clean ups.
I am looking to attend a college that has strong academics, a great athletics program, proud tradition and a welcoming community.
