I have always dreamt of playing for an academy team like The Chicago fire academy or The Sockers FC academy in my area and going pro before the age of 19 or right out of high school. With the development of the game and other factors, I see that I will have to work and develop twice as much to continue to stay at the top of my game for my development level and to begin to breakthrough better and harder, working teams. Although I am sixteen about to turn seventeen and not playing for an academy, However, I am not discouraged what so ever in my pursuit to become a pro, I am still in it 100% and right now I think the college level is the next stage in my development in becoming a pro in America or abroad. I look forward to meeting many coaches and playing in many college showcases and camps in the coming months of my senior year and hopefully receiving my first scholarship offer may it be division 1,2, or 3. The next level of my development is here and the path to becoming a pro is still in high pursuit. - Joseph Afriyie class of 2021
