Radule Bozovic '22 Recruiting Profile

Growing up as a first-generation American can be tough at times. People mispronouncing your name, not understanding where your last name originates from, and suffering multiple indifferences which shape who I am today. My name is Radule Bozovic II, and I have been playing soccer almost every single day for the last 14 years of my life. I play for a high-level club team FC United, and for one of the best high school teams in the state of Illinois. 

Throughout the past year, I have played semi-pro soccer in countries such as Germany, Spain, and Serbia (VfB Stuttgart, UD Levante, and Crvena Zvezda). These opportunities I have been blessed to experience changed my game. I was able to improve my technical abilities, strength, and most importantly - my mental game. I was able to gain much more confidence with and without the ball, which ultimately helped me get into better positions. 

My knowledge of the game is levels deep. I have played in multiple formations (532, 433, 442, 352) and have been able to clearly demonstrate my understanding of what an outside back does. Whether it be on the left or right side, I am always confident in my ability. I have played holding center midfielder and center back before, and if need be, can be played there. 

In the classroom I continuously strive to get that A, while at the same time thoroughly understanding the material in the classes. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA for my high school career, and have scored a 32 on the ACT. In my spare time, I volunteer at local animal shelters, work under my father, and help maintain my own automotive detailing business I started when I was 16. I am always looking to improve either in soccer or in knowledge, and am always acceptable of a challenge.
