2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I have always enjoyed competing in swimming; but after swimming in high school for three years I found that what I truly love is being part of a team. Club swimming is all about improving individually, which I like to do, but in high school I find greater motivation through the focus of team goals. The bonds among teammates are stronger and the spirit of winning as a group provides greater motivation and greater satisfaction.
While I am highly focused on improving my times, what I want more is to be part of a team that is focused on a collective goal. I want to make new bonds and friendships with new teammates and I want to work with them to drive us all to be better. That is what drives my desire to continue swimming at the collegiate level.
