I am someone who has a genuine love for the game of soccer. I have had a number of coaches and parents comment on my excellent work ethic. Not only do I give it my all at every practice and game, but I put a lot of time in on my own at home to stay in shape and increase my skills. I like to lead by example for my teammates on and off the field, and I understand what it means to be a team player. I strive to mentally stay in the game and not be distracted by outside influences such as calls by a ref, banter by opponents, and intensity of the game. I stand out athletically with my stamina and endurance. I made varsity track freshmen year as a sprinter and a long distance runner. I even hold a school record for jumping rope for over 2,500 jumps in a row without stopping. I have attended Indiana University's week long soccer camp two years in a row and was named the offensive player of my division via the division coaches. Once again my drive and work ethic, along with my skills, are what the coaches stated set me apart from others. I am also a very versatile player. My main position has been a forward, but my club coach knows he can play me where he needs me. Last season I covered for our center back for several weeks while my teammate was injured. Academics don't always come easy for me, (besides PE), but I pride myself in balancing academics and athletics. Being a people person I am really good at reaching out to teachers or peers to be an advocate for my learning. It is my desire to play the sport I love at the next level, and to put in the work on and off the field to do so!
