Jackson Pitz '23 Recruiting Profile

As a goalkeeper, my job is not just protecting the box. It is to be a vocal leader, constantly communicating with my teammates, serving as their extra eyes, reading the field, and directing on positioning and opportunities.  The faster the ball moves to the other half of the field, shots on goal decrease, and the team succeeds. In addition to an insatiable work ethic, distinguished academic performance, and never quit attitude, I've been gifted with a high athletic IQ.  Whether it be soccer, basketball or baseball, I have the ability to read the field and anticipate the developing play. I hope to bring that leadership and an exceptional technical skills to the next level. 

Academics remain the top priority for me, as well as dedication to the team. I've been blessed with teammates who are family, and maintain close relationships with past coaches. I look for that in program.  My coaches, managers and trainers will also tell you I am very coachable, and appreciate feedback, even if it’s negative. 

I love the sport, will never quit on the team, and am willing to do what it takes to play at the next level and succeed.
