Kyle Ward '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello - my name is Kyle Ward and I am currently a Junior at Sacred Heart Griffin (SHG) HS.  I strive to achieve at a high level in the classroom and this extends to the field as well.  While taking a challenging academic workload that includes honors and AP classes, I ended my junior  year with a 4.3 GPA.  I have recently received a 28 on the ACT and am planning to take it again.

I continue this passion for high level achievement on the soccer field.  I play mainly as an attacking center mid or striker and have led the team in both goals and assists my Freshmen/Sophomore/Junior years.  This has contributed to both team and personal success and has led to post season rewards such as:

- All Sectional Team Freshmen year (1 of only 4 Freshmen in Illinois)

- All Area Freshmen/Sophomore/Junior years

-All Conference Freshmen/Sophomore/Junior years

- All - State Sophomore year (1 of 2 Sophomores)

-Capital Preps Top 12 Player in State as a Sophomore

-All - State Junior year

-All Area Junior Season (Nominee for Player of the Year)

-Led team to Elite 8 appearance in 2021 season

The club team that I play for is called Central Illinois United 05'.   We are currently ranked in the top 10 in the state of Illinois according to GotSoccer.  Similar to my high school seasons, I primarily play AM or Striker and a team leader in goals/assists.  You will not see a player play or work harder than me on the field.

I am a leader on the field and a motivated and dedicated team player.  I am looking for a school where I can bring this attitude and passion and be an active contributor in the classroom and on the field.
