The earliest memory I have of life in America is playing soccer with my cousin. My family and I legally moved here from Mexico when I was four. I can fluently speak both Spanish and English. I have been playing soccer since I was five and my love for the sport has only grown stronger. Soccer has transformed me into who I am today. It has taught me to be disciplined, respectful, hardworking, and to never give up. My academic goals for high school are to graduate with a gpa of 3.7 or higher and to be able to get any sort of offer from a college that best fits me. In college, I would like to study radiology and become an MRI technologist. In games I am a difference maker, I keep my team alive with the amount of saves I make per game. A unique skill I possess is that I am an excellent one on one shot stopper who isn’t afraid to dive at players feet. I’ve been the starting varsity goalkeeper for my high school since my freshman year, and although my team as a whole doesn’t perform very good, I still managed to get an all-conference honorable mention both my freshman and sophomore years of playing. I hope to bring not only my athletic skills, but my academic skills to the college level.
