For as long as I can remember, I have been playing soccer. When I was a baby, my parents couldn’t leave a ball lay anywhere around the house. If I happened to find it, I would end up kicking it. And, usually, that would end in something being knocked over or broken. When I was four years old, my parents began this journey by signing me up for my first SAY soccer team. And, that is how this all began…
At the age of 9, I tried out for and made a travel soccer team, Revolution FC. I remain with them to this day even though the name has changed to Tempest Evolution FC "Chaos". I have primarily played as a Striker. However, I am very versatile and can play just about anywhere on the field (except goalie). Last October, I tried out for the Indiana Olympic Developmental Team for the first time. And, although I didn’t make it onto the actual state team, I was chosen to play on their ‘04/’05 Developmental Team. I have primarily been playing right or center back with them and look forward to growing within their program and hope to make the state team next year.
I have always strived to be one of the best players on the field when playing. I’m working on my leadership abilities and realize that the other players on my teams are looking up to me as a roll model. I have begun assisting with a couple of the younger teams at my school and soccer club.
Along with all of that, I’m working really hard at school to try and get the best grades that I can. And, I would love to continue to play soccer for as long as I can at the collegiate level.
