Adrian Reyes '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Adrian Reyes, I am 16 years old and attend Gardner Edgerton High School. I started club soccer at the age of seven, following my older brother’s footsteps. 

My first experience on the field was as a Centre-back and progressed to a Centre-mid. I got the opportunity to learn to move the ball up the field, effective communication with teammates, and to improve the ability to play the ball out of the back. After some time on the pitch, I began to develop a solid vision of the game, evolve as a player, and it has brought out a sense of leadership and competitiveness in me that sets me aside from your average athlete. 

Because of my versatility, I was always interchangeable with the 6, 8, and 10 positions. During this time I progressed to make my way up to a ECNL(RL) team. I recently explored the opportunity to play defense as an outside back and found that I thoroughly enjoy the position, the challenge it brings, and have done well thus far. 

Over the years, I learned that hard work, effort, and the ability to adapt to any environment comes success. This year I hope to get noticed by coaches, improve as a soccer player, and use all the skills learned on and off the pitch as a student. I plan to use the soccer platform to help me find a school that aligns with my academic goals, career choices, and provides a solid foundation for my soccer experience. Overall, soccer has been the best thing to happen to me. It has given me an experience like no other. I've made new friends and found opportunities for myself in the future.
