Finally winning a State Championship this year against a highly competitive local rival team was the highlight of my soccer experiences. Since I first stepped on the field at the age of six I have aspired to be the best player on the field, but my preparation and performance for the ultimate test helped me to re-focus my efforts on developing into a viable candidate for collegiate soccer. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that can afford me numerous possibilities in life. Being a student at a service learning high school such as Saint Thomas Aquinas and a member of several competitive teams has allowed me to experience winning at various levels which has prepared me to be a successful student athlete at the next level. During my three years of high school, I have learned the value of teamwork, dedication, leadership, humility and overcoming adversity.
Excellent ball-handling skills, strong legs and superior agility on grass and turf are a few of my assets. I firmly believe I possess the talent, work ethic, mental and physical toughness to compete at the collegiate level, but I also exhibit the character and leadership skills to be an asset to your program. In the classroom, I study hard and I work dilidently to maintain a good GPA. I also volunteer at local youth soccer and basketball camps. I have been a member of Beta Club for two years. Also, I just received an invite to be in the National Student Honor Society, and I will be a member by August. My leadership abilites and versatility are often recognized by all of my coaches and teachers regardless of the sport or subject.
My plans are to attend a college where I can pursue a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Finance and be a competive soccer player. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically, so I may continue to make my parents and family proud and inspire others to pursue their goals. As a multi-sport athlete and team leader, I have the necessary skills to positively impact your team.
