Being the oldest child while growing comes with many responsibilities; from making appropriate choices to helping my family whenever possible. But, most importantly, being the oldest means setting a good example for your siblings. In a way, it's much like being a leader on the field or in the classroom; you want what's best for your team, your class, or your siblings. I feel going through my career with this mentality of setting a good example has lead to me to set high level goals. This upcoming school year I will be attending Washington County Technical High School as 1 of 20 students accepted into the engineering and architecture program. I expect that this will help me prepare for college both in academics and in my program. I plan on achieving honor roll while also competing at the varsity level at my home school. I hope these next few years aid in achieving my ultimate goal of eventually getting my masters in Mechanical engineering and playing soccer at a college level.
I started playing soccer when I was only four and haven’t lost my love for the game. The sport has given me the opportunity of being a part of multiple teams which over the years have become like family. It has also taught me how to overcome obstacles along the way; such as personal or team slumps where we aren't playing well. As individuals and as a team we have gotten out of said slumps to rise to greater success as a team, all for one, one for all.
