Zachary Haussler '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’1’’ goalkeeper from Woodbine Maryland and I currently attend Glenelg High School.  I will graduate with the class of 2014.  I am in the middle of my sophomore year in high school.  I have been a goalkeeper on my high school varsity team for 2 years.  Freshman year I was backup to the senior and in front of the junior goalkeeper.  Sophomore year I was the starter and was voted Unsung Hero by my team and coach and was named to 2^nd team-all county this year, being the only goalie that was not a senior.  I have two years ODP experience and getting ready for my third consecutive year with the team.  Outside of high school I currently play NCSL division 3 with my Club team. 

               I am interested in all schools in the mid-Atlantic region and on the east coast however, I will gladly play for a team beyond those boundaries.  I have been a team captain on my club team for the past 4 years and my high school basketball team for 2 years.  I always give maximum effort and it has always been my dream to play college sports, especially soccer.  I would like to attend a mid-sized school but I will I am open to all possibilities.  I know I will thrive in any environment, because I am motivated to be my best.  Academically I am an honor roll student.  I take higher level classes on a regular basis and balance that with a demanding sports and music schedule.  I have not narrowed down my desired course of studies, but do have several areas of interest.  Subjects that interest me are computer science, history, mathematics, business and other related majors.   As an athlete, I would like to play in my early years but I also want to play at my highest level possible.  I do not want to sell myself short in any aspect nor do I want to limit my opportunities.  I have played competitive soccer since I was a U-8 and I dream of continuing my soccer career through to the collegiate level.
