Personal Statement

Hi Coaches

My name is Austin Lamar Holloway and I am a Junior at Urbana High school in Frederick County, MD. As an up and coming collegiate athlete I have lofty but not unattainable goals that I want to happen during my career. First I plan on starting as a freshman on the team that I sign with. This is certainly a lofty goal and may be a turn off to some coaches but I believe hard work and determination can lead me down the path of locking in the starting position. Next I want to be on a team where we all can have fun and compete together in practice everyday. The fun will build more team chemistry and possible connections for me in the future. The competing in practice will also raise my game and get me prepared for possible challenges I may face in the game. My final goal is to win a championship with whatever collegiate team I'm a part of. As a player I've won championships before with state cup and tournaments with my club team but winning with my college team will prove to myself I can win on the biggest stage, at the highest level. As a candidate for my future team I want to make clear I'm a hard worker and I'm coachable.  On top of that I'm not a player who is selfish. I'm a pass first guy and want my teammates to shine more than myself. As a collegiate coach I'm sure you've seen all the possible answers a player can give. Though this may be true I want to stress my leadership and team play. I'm captain of both club and high school. I am in no way the greatest leader but I'm working my butt off to become the best one I can be. As I stated before my team play is what I feel I'm best at other than my track down speed on defense. I believe in elevating my teammates so that the team can strive to be the best it can be.  In closing I want to be able to contribute to a team that has drive and wants to be great. I know just saying words mean nothing but I'm willing to work for whatever team I eventually play for because I believe in that team and the goals they want to achieve.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
