Jordi Lopez '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jordi López from the class of 2023.

I play as Winger and Striker for Maryland United ECNL and Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. I will provide a link to my recent highlights, and a link to tournament and league schedule down below.

Currently I am a senior at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney MD. I am a member of the National Honor Society with a cumulative GPA of 4.21. Currently I am taking four AP/IB courses out of my six classes. Apart from academics our school had a very successful season getting to the semi-finals of the WCAC after winning the championship last year and showing everyone how strong our program is.

Also, I would describe myself as a fast, agile, creative, and versatile player. I can also play as an attacking midfielder as a third position, and that’s basically because, once I’m inside the field, I like to play my game and be as creative as I can, not only expressing my game but also helping my teammates to express theirs by giving them good passes and by playing bonito fútbol as we know it in my country Colombia. That’s something that I think makes me different from any other recruit. I grew up in a country with a difficult status in any aspect, playing since little in the streets with my friends and having new experiences every single day. That makes me as a person, as a student, and as a soccer player, because it’s inside of me wherever I go.
