Soccer, or as my mom would say, “football” has always been a huge part of my life, ever since I kicked my first soccer ball at 2 years old. I’ve been drawn to the game, and the enjoyment, hardship, and pleasure of playing. With my mom a doctor from Bermuda and a former soccer player, and my dad an international businessman and a former D1 soccer player, I have always been close to the game. Throughout the years, soccer has taught me many valuable lessons, like: hard work, leadership, building comradery, and utilizing my talents. I recently had the privilege of playing alongside my brother for his senior year where he was the captain of the men's varsity team -it was fun and one of those rare and treasured experiences.
I’m an excellent student from a premier nationally recognized private/independent school, and I am working to become an even better student. I am an elite soccer player, from an elite high school program, an elite national club, and an elite national league. I am working to become an elite leader, and an excellent teammate. My high school team has gone to the championship two years in a row and hasn’t won (yet). Going and not winning, and getting back to the championship has taught me a lot about persevering and not giving-up. And, not winning again has taught me even more - that not only do I have to do well in my position on the field, but lead and inspire my teammates to not let a loss take them out mentally from the game. Winning is just as much mindset as it is physical. My hope is to follow in the footsteps of my brother in becoming the captain of the men's varsity team my senior year. Over my highschool career I have received many individual accolades, including: This year's Team Defensive MVP, 2x First Team All Conference Selectee, double digit goal scorer and assists.
