The sport of soccer has held much importance to me throughout my life, and has taught me many lessons which I carry with me every day. My high school coach was a coach who had always stressed the importance of the little things, which I see to be the most important aspect of the success of any player or team. I always make sure that I pay attention and apply the lessons that I learn wherever I can, whether it be on or off the pitch. Academically I've remained consistent as someone who doesn't miss assignments and has a great work ethic. Athletically, I've remained consistent as a player who pays close attention to details, comes to every practice no matter what the circumstances may be, and gives no excuses no matter what. A coach of mine once said that you have to pay attention to what someone is saying, and not how they're saying it. This remains one of the biggest lessons that I've learned because what separates one player from another is how they've applied what they've learned during practice. I carry these teachings with me as an athlete who aspires to one day play soccer at a professional level, and my hopes remain high for what lie ahead on my journey.
