Jake Hartshorn '19 Recruiting Profile

I am planning for a career in Law Enforcement, and this will include a major in criminal justice.  I want to help people, and hopefully assist them in bringing out the best in themselves, like I have seen on the soccer field.

I have always enjoyed athletics, and especially team sports.  I like the friendships that I have made with my teammates, and the camaraderie of achieving success as part of a group.  I have found that I naturally assume the role of team leader in these group situations, not by yelling and screaming, but by supporting the group and directing my teammates calmly and efficiently to bring out their best efforts.  My position as GK gives me the best vantage point to coordinate the efforts of my teammates in front of me, and we have achieved success by this method.
