Owen O'Brien '23 Recruiting Profile

This past 2022 season, I was named SWCL 1st Team All Star, All Central Mass and All-State Selection. I was Offensive MVP and leading goal scorer with 22 points. I was also nominated as the Worcester Telegram + Gazette's Hometown Boys Soccer Player of the week.

I have been playing soccer for longer than I can remember. I love soccer because scoring and assisting goals gives me strong positive emotions, especially against a tough opponent.

My main goal is to help my team win and that starts with scoring goals. Whenever I’m on the field, I make it my mission to be the first to every ball and the fastest player on the field. Even though I love scoring, I always try to create opportunities for my teammates. I also pressure the back line relentlessly and cause many turnovers. 

Being a good teammate is another high priority for me. Together, we rally, communicate and focus on our strategies for winning. I have made the best of friends along the way.  I am looking forward to playing soccer through my college years and beyond.
