I hope to continue to play soccer at the collegiate level because I enjoy being part of a team and working with others to achieve a common goal. Being part of a team keeps me focused both on the field and in the classroom. As the goalie, I thrive on the pressures associated with being the last line of defense for my team. Being in the net often gives me a better vantage point of the field, which means I have to step up and direct my team verbally when necessary. Over the years I have realized how all the skills I have learned on the field from various coaches, teammates and parents have helped to develop the kind of athlete, student and young man I am becoming. I feel that taking the next step in my soccer career would continue to enhance these skills and increase my chances of obtaining a successful career.
