Personal Statement

I’m a 6’ 5” American goalkeeper and member of the class of 2018 who is a fast, athletic, hardworking, smart and supportive player whose college goals are to attend a top US engineering school and play soccer for a top university program. I played school and club soccer in Manchester, England, for the first two years of high school.  I moved back to Michigan in August 2016, to board at the rigorous Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where I made the varsity soccer team and earned the starting goalkeeper's position.

Our Cranbrook team ended its 2017 season at 13-3-1 with nine clean sheets and as champion of our Catholic League Division.  We won two state playoff games before losing in the district title match.  In 2016, we finished at 14-5-0 with nine shut outs and also as champions of our Catholic League Division (schedule & results).  We ended the season ranked 9th in the state, won our District in the playoffs, and lost in the first round of Regionals.  My first year back in Michigan and in the league, I finished the season with a 0.94 goals against average and a 90% saves percentage.  I earned Honorable Mention All-State, Honorable Mention All Oakland County, 1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All District, and All League Honor Team--Catholic High School League awards.

I had a great time this past summer visiting campuses, attending soccer camps, and improving my game.  My biggest improvement has been leading and communicating with my defense which has helped our team limit shots on goal this fall.  I received a number of positive camp evaluations and have included a few below:

UMass Soccer School

Chicago Academic 50 ID Camp Evaluation

Notre Dame Elite Camp Evaluation

I love playing soccer and playing in college has been a long-time dream of mine. I will do every positive thing I can to make this possible.
