My goal for college soccer is to prepare me for life after college. Playing soccer has already helped my leadership and problem solving skills, and I believe playing at the collegiate level can help me advance these skills even more. Two of my main strengths as a player are my versatility and my leadership. My skillset and soccer intelligence make me a very versatile player. Just this season, I got moved from CDM to ST, a position I had never really played before, and scored within 10 minutes of the switch. I then have proceeded to score 7 more goals and assist one goal in the next 6 games. I was asked to play outside midfield for my high school team this year as we switched formations halfway through the year and made the switch without question. My second strength is my leadership. Outside of being a captain on both my club and high school team for the past two years, I participate in leadership groups at my school, as well as at the state level with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). To me, leadership means setting a good example for my teammates through positive reinforcement, a disciplined work ethic, and staying calm under pressure. These skills and qualities have helped lead my high school team to winning the state championship in the Fall of 22 and my club team to winning the all-state President's Cup tournament last year. And I plan on bringing the same skills and qualities to help my future team be successful.
