Finn Dowling '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I have been lucky enough to have many unique experiences during my soccer development. I have been selected to play on the ODP Minnesota select team and attend the Region 2 ID camp every year I’ve been eligible.  With my Minneapolis United Club team I have traveled to some of the top tournaments in the US and made it all the way to nationals. My most influential soccer experience was traveling to Portugal to play at Benfica's youth academy for a month. This trip gave me the opportunity to learn and play the European style of soccer which fits my style of play.

  • Attacking Mid

  • Defending Mid

  • Outside Defender and Wing as needed

My strengths as a player are my ability to play multiple positions, first touch and distribution. I can possess the ball in the middle or get it through the forwards and wings quickly and accurately. I am most effective on a team that plays through the middle building their attack vs playing long ball form the back line.
