Daniel Baah '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Daniel Baah and I am currently enrolled at Lamar School in Meridian, Mississippi. I was born and raised in Ghana, Africa before my family moved to the United States. Soccer has been my passion ever since I can remember and to play at the college level is a dream I am working towards now. I have had many obstacles along the way, for example adjusting to a new culture, but no matter what I kept pushing and here I am today. 

I play for Lamar School and possess many key qualities including adaptability, a disciplined work ethic, and leadership. Primarily, I am an attacking midfielder with fast footwork, precise passing, and ball control.  In addition, due to my speed, creativity, and scoring capabilities, I can play anywhere needed in the final third as a striker or winger. When I become a part of a collegiate soccer team, I will strive and work towards winning our division championship and ultimately the national championship.

As important as athletics are to me, academics are also key to my success. Over the course of my academic career, I have accumulated many awards and recognitions, however unlike many others, I did not stop there. I continue to push myself in my academics just as much as I do athletically. Currently, I maintain a perfect GPA while taking AP classes while participating and multiple extracurricular activities.

One of my strongest beliefs is giving back. This tenet I hold is exactly what sets me apart from other recruits. Making it as far as I have is not something commonly seen from someone who comes from a foreign country and in my free time, I give back to my community and those who haven't been as blessed as me. Through my membership of the National Beta Club and National Honor Society, I volunteer with homeless shelters such as Love's Kitchen and Care Lodge.
