As I finished my senior year and club season in June of 2023, I have the opportunity to play soccer in Germany with The Talent Projekt for the 23/24 season. It is an American club that is based just outside of Munich, Germany, and plays all levels of Bundesliga club teams (as well as tournaments in Europe). It is an opportunity that allows me to continue to grow my soccer skills, knowledge, and IQ against some of the best clubs in Europe. Along with great soccer, I am taking German language classes and experiencing a whole new culture. In high school, I earned my Distinguished Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and now I am able to learn German to further my language skills. This is an amazing life-building experience both for soccer and life.
Over the years, I have been very fortunate to have great coaches and played in good clubs in my soccer career. I have played with Sporting Blue Valley Academy 05 and we were Kansas State Cup Champions for both 2022 and 2023. I was with the Sporting KC Academy from 2017 through 2019 which helped me grow immensely. The coaches at the SKC academy helped grow my knowledge of the game and myself as a person. The other influential coaches include goalie coaches Fahrudin Sehic (Played in Croatia for Zadar FC), Andy Gruenebaum (MLS goalkeeper), Darrin Macleod (Sporting KC II goalkeeper coach): club coaches include: Shawn Forcellini (Sporting Blue Valley), William Mallot (Pheonix Rising), and Ross Alexander (Pheonix Rising & Arizona State University). The Talent Projekt allows me to fully use all that I have learned and grow on an international stage.
As I start looking at my college career, I am looking at a school that can match my level of academics and soccer. As I am playing at a high level on an international stage, I am looking for a University to match that same level. I graduated with a 4.36 weighted GPA while taking IB Chemistry, IB Spanish, College English, and Project Lead The Way - Biomedical Sciences. The University that I am looking for would offer both academic and soccer competitiveness.
