Collegiate Aspirations
I want to be a part of a strong academic institution and simultaneously a strong soccer program. I am disciplined in academics and soccer and enjoy the regimen of training, hard work, and competition. This year I begin pursuing an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at my high school and will graduate with an IB Diploma in 2021.
Background
I played on a premier level soccer team in Colorado until 7th grade, when my family moved (for my father's job) to a very small town in Montana. Soccer is a new and growing sport in Big Sky, MT. While I have, and will continue to make a significant impact locally, I also continue to work hard and push myself to improve my skills and become a better player. I do this by playing with a club team, training on my own, and guest playing with other regional teams. I commute 12-15 hours a week to play on a travel soccer team in Bozeman every spring season. We travel throughout Montana and to other states for tournaments. I also commute and travel throughout the winter to play club hockey. I am committed and passionate about soccer and have had to work hard to create the opportunities that I have. Academically, I have had to be more disciplined because of my extensive commuting and travel.
Strengths
I am a versatile player and have experience in all positions on the field. I am most comfortable at center midfield and outside back. My biggest strengths are my distribution, ability to play possession soccer, and my vision. I have also developed a strong shot. I am extremely competitive with nearly everything I do and love the game of soccer. I am a leader on every team I play for and have learned the importance of leading both vocally and by example.
What Makes Me Different?
What makes me different is my self-drive and motivation. I am very coachable and always want to learn how to improve. Additionally, I am very creative on the pitch and have a high soccer IQ. I also value being a team player and understand the importance of fulfilling different roles for the team's benefit.
