Growing up in Boulder City, Nevada, has made me who I am. Although not being nearly the smallest town around, it is small enough to be home to only one high school of around six hundred students. Going to school and competing here has given me a special sense of pride and competitiveness in everything I do. Coming from a small town and playing against large schools from a city like Las Vegas has pushed me to be my best and fiery self every single time I step onto the field. Not only am I representing my school in a sport that I care about and train for, I am also representing an entire town who are depending on me to be exactly the type of player and student I am. On and off the field, I will always fight for my school and the town I have called home my entire life.
Academically, I have always been at the top of my class and committed to success. I study hard and effectively whenever I am at school or home. Throughout middle school in Boulder, I received straight A's and excellent citizenship marks. In three years, I did not miss a single day of school. I was one of only two students to receive recognition for this at my school. My classmates have always looked to me as a role model both in the classroom and out. I am currently working towards the highest diploma my high school offers.
On the field, I have always played with one goal in mind- to win. When I step onto a game field or training ground, I am there to focus and achieve as much as I can, whether that be scoring goals for my team or mastering a technique either my high school coaches or club coaches have taught me. I have always been able to work with my teammates by pressing the ball up the field and looking for select opportunities to score and assist. As both a high school and club striker, I have learned to know when to be aggressive or calm with the ball. Fortunately for me, I earned a starting position in all high school games as a varsity player, which propelled me above other kids my age in both skill progression and maturity.
As of freshman year, I haven't yet decided what I want to study in college or what I want to do in my life, but I do know that I want to be as successful as possible. I have been playing this sport my whole life and, while I am dedicated to playing college soccer, I am open to considering all college opportunities that fit my academic and soccer skill sets.
