My full name is Kevin Francisco Torres-Solorzano. I am a Sophomore at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada and I am in the JV Team for Men's Soccer. I have always loved watching and playing soccer in my house whether it be just simple kicks or juggling the ball, I always have wanted to play. It wasn't until 5th grade year when I joined my elementary school's soccer team. Ever since then, I have always wanted to play at the college level. I feel like I have the character and potential to be one of the world's greatest but I always don't have the chance to play due to family and my education.
A little about me as a soccer player. I have been playing for about 5 years now. I have played in 3 different teams and all have been very different. I am not afraid of competition or a challenge. I will compete against professional players if they are my next opponent or even if they are just asking for a little practice session. Ever since I was 12 years old, I have been playing with much older categories. For example, while I was supposed to be playing in U12 age groups, I would be playing with U16 categories. People often get the impression that I am very little, to weak to play, etc. but I will put all my effort and I won't go down without a fight. I am not selfish whatsoever. At times, if needed I will probably take the ball all the way down the field and score a goal if I have too but you will find me most likely passing to my teammates and attempting to create chances for goals. I will play around the field also. Give me a position on the field and I will play it to the best of my abilities. I will put on the gloves and get into the box also if I am needed. My main position though, will be Defense and Midfielder.
I am the above average student. Last time my GPA had dropped lower than a 3.0 was in 7th grade and I immediately brought that up to a 3.4 in the next quarter. I am trying my hardest to get to that 4.0 GPA. My education has always been very important to me because I have always wanted to get a really good paying job that way I can support my future family but also my siblings. Especially my parents that have done so much for me and my brothers and I would really enjoy paying them back for all the years that they have raised me. My education comes first over anything except with my family. I have always cared a lot about my education as I feel that is one of the keys to being successful in life, not only being successful financially but being successful in life. Without education, we would be no where right now in this world. I am always willing to lend a hand to anybody that has struggles in their education. I work very cooperatively with others in my classes. I am very energetic in my classes and will make a lot of noise but when it's time to get things done, I get serious and stay on task.
When in college, I would like to study to get my Masters of Business Administration. I would also like to get a degree related to Medicine as I would love to become and emergency physician also someday.
I hope I am taken into your consideration coach. I would really love to get the opportunity to show you what I got!
