I envision my high school years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore areas in sports/business management that will position me well for careers in sports and leisure industries. I played the 1st quarter of my senior year playing for the Houston Dynamo FC Academy on their u20 mens team in the UPSL league under new coach Rodo Castilla. The 2 nd qtr. I personally trained in Orange County, California with Danny Califf. My 2nd semester of my senior year I was in Barcelona, Spain. I was in Masnou for 2 weeks practicing with a top Juvenil team. Then for 9 weeks I lived and trained with the Girona FC Academy players and I participated in the MIC (Manchester City International Cup) as captain of the ESS u19 team where we made it to the semi finals. As always I will be working on developing my growth mind- set and work ethic in order to get to the professional level which is my ultimate goal. This past season I also focused on building my speed, strength, and technical ability, with a focus is positive mindset. Living abroad on my own for 5 months has really been a great experience and prepared me for living my dream as a pro soccer player.
I spent my junior year in Houston, Texas under coach Roy Lassiter at the Houston Dynamo FC Academy. Coach Lassiter played me at the #6, #10, and the #7 which made me more of a versatile player.
I spent my sophomore year traveling abroad in both Spain and Germany, where I lived and trained for 3 months in each country. I currently hold a dual passport with Germany and USA and this has opened up more doors for me so to speak. I was lucky enough to receive the Maui and State of Hawaii player of the year awards as a sophomore which has never been done before.
On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my high school soccer career, I will strive to be an asset to the mid-field by pushing my team forward, creating plays, breaking opposing defensive lines while simultaneously breaking up opposing attacking moves. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, my family, and the school I attend.
