Since age 5 soccer has been a huge part of my life. Soccer has also been a big part of my family. I always look forward to learning new techniques and becoming better every day. I challenge myself to be the best player and teammate I can be. I enjoy working on my own to become better in all aspects of my game.
I have played with TSF Academy at the highest level of soccer in the United States (U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy)(MLS Next) and have played overseas in Italy. I have played in Developmental Academy showcases, the MLS Cup, and highly rated tournaments including the Dallas Cup and Jefferson Cup against some of the best teams and players in the country.
This year, I was the captain and three year starting varsity goalie for Bergen Catholic High School. I was named League Player of the Year while receiving All-County and All-Non-Public honors while leading the team to our first sectional final in 23 years while becoming undefeated league champions. I was also named a top goalkeeper and senior in NJ (NJ.com) As a sophomore, I was runner up for the New Jersey Boys Soccer Sophomore of the Year (NJ.com) while receiving all league honors as a Junior as well. I am also my school's all time saves leader. I am now continuing to play with TSF Academy in the spring where we are playing in the U19 Mid-Atlantic region in the MLS Next league. In my return to MLS Inter-League and League play with TSF I have recorded shutouts against Baltimore Armour, Bethesda, Real Jersey, Miami Kendall Rush, PA Classics, Bayside, and Springfield.
At Bergen Catholic, I finished my junior year with a 105.3 overall average while currently having 10 AP classes and the rest honors. I have passed all 5 of my AP exams and am currently an AP Scholar with Distinction (students who received a score of 3 or higher on at least 5 exams, and an average score of 3.5 across all exams taken). I was also inducted into the National Honor Society and have made the Principal's List with an unweighted 4.0 GPA every marking period. Success in school has always been very important to me. I set a high standard for myself academically and would love to play at a school who is exceptional at academics along with athletics.
Along with my work on the field and in the classroom I try to be the best person I can be for my community and for the people around me. I partake in many extracurricular activities and clubs as well. Over the last several years, I have spent time helping others in need and members of my community. In the past I have also donated food and raised money for others. I have donated many of my old clothing items and I have donated money to various causes. I have volunteered at my church in teaching religious education and supervising the younger children. At my high school, I am Vice President of a club called Crusaders for Christian Action where we collect canned goods and money for food drives and spread the word to help those in need. At my school I am also Vice President of a sports journalism club where we cover the events at our school and write articles regarding them. Additionally, I have volunteered for 5Ks, and have help set up and supervise children’s activities at my local library. I enjoy helping those around me as I feel it is my responsibility to give back and help the community.
Through all aspects of my life, my family and friends help support me and I try to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. People like my parents and grandparents have helped show me that it is extremely important to always work hard. They have taught me the importance of school and giving 100% effort. They have shaped me to become a kinder and more caring person. I have watched my parents give back to others and work hard and it inspires me to do my best. To get to where I am as a player today I have worked hard on my own and given myself confidence. This has helped me overcome obstacles and earn opportunities. I try to be a role model for others around me and I believe that I am a good leader with whatever I’m doing and I have been captain for multiple teams. I also try to help the people around me become better.
I would welcome the opportunity to continue playing soccer and earning a degree from a top notch institution.
