Hello, my name Brian Voelz, I have been playing the wonderful game of soccer since I was 4 and have been player ever since. I have always had a strong passion for the game. I love playing with different coaches and teams because I get more experience from different areas and types of players. I have been the captain for most of the teams I have played on. I was captain of my high school jv team two years in a row and two years varsity. I want to play in college because I want to learn and experience more and a better level of soccer. I make good relationships with my teammates and coaches. I have a good eye for the game, I am a strong tackler and strong in the air for headers. I play defensive back so I see the whole field and can read when we need switch the field or drop back to reset the play. I am a physical player, I'm fast and make quick decisions and act on it right away because there is no time for hesitation. I can communicate well to my whole team through the game across the field. I see a play before it will happen or what are the options that could happen. I am able to play through the full 90 minute game. I have good skill on and off the ball, and I am positive with my team. I think if you communicate well and have good relationships with your teammates, it will show on the field. I have played in many tournaments out of state like the Surf Cup in Arizona and couple others in Arizona recently due to COVID-19, so I have been keeping my skills up and my touch, I practice by myself with and with some teammates when we need the training. Any chance I have a go out and practice or just touch the ball because I know how easy it is to lose your touch just in a week or two.
I do good in school, I have around a 3.4 GPA average all year in school. I do good in my classes and don't fall behind or slack off. Soccer is what motivates me to do great in everything. Especially in school to get good grades so I can keep playing. I respect my teachers and coaches just like they respect me. I will not leave my team behind because of attitude or behavior.
